Alexander Wang Wins The Big Fashion Prize
By admins | November 18, 2008
Sometimes we get lost in all the Project Runway hype and forget the real world of fashion. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund picked the winning recipient from a talented group of finalists. The innovative Alexander Wang was chosen over fellow designers, Albertus Q. Swanepoel, Alejandro Ingelmo, Juan Carlos Obando, Richard Chai, Jason Wu, Lisa Mayock, Irene Neuwirth, Obedient Sons & Daughters, Organic, and Sophie Buhai. He walks away with $200,000 and a year of mentoring plus of course publicity. So congrats to the Parson’s grad and Lower Eastside neighbor, Alexander Wang!
