Bryant Park’s New Porch
By admins | June 22, 2009
If you haven’t heard, last week the Southwest porch opened in Bryant Park. As if our perfect little park couldn’t get any better they’ve added a fabulous new lounge space adjacent to the ‘wichcraft kiosk. To help drum up publicity for Southwest Airlines new service to LaGuardia, they have teamed up with the Bryant Park Corp. and ‘wichcraft. We are so loving the look of this space; it’s sunny and happy, but also just as chic as should be expected for our fashionable neighborhood. With cushy couches, rattan swings and rocking chairs, it’s the perfect place to relax on a summer day. Or if you want to get some work done they have added plenty of additional power outlets. So, bring your laptops and tech-pack away while enjoying the sun in an Adirondack chair and snacking on a ‘wichcraft sandwich. What could be better? The only thing a bit off to us seemed to be the hours; they have no lunch listings, except for Friday. What’s up with that? So, if this rainy weather ever stops, head over to Bryant Park and check out the Southwest porch!
Enjoy these pics? Well our photos were not nearly as good as a favorite new blog we just found, so thanks to Elaine Perlov and her blog, i am a fashion designer. gee for the beautiful photos.

Click above to sign up for a free drink & snacks! And if you guys go you have to give me a holler and I’ll drop by.
Also, the lounge is open during lunch hours in the summer M-Th, just without the extra services menu. Meaning you just bring your own food and grab a chair.
It looks great, right? Your pictures are lovely!

Hey, thanks so much for the shout-out. It actually works out great that they don’t serve lunch M-Th b/c you can bring your own and sit in the “good part” which is otherwise blocked off. Sadly, no veggie options on the sandwiches. Maybe they will add some, when they realize NYC likes veggies.

Hey admins, sounds good! We love our new “luxury to the masses” lounge. And I just found out it was inspired by our park director’s visit to an outdoor furniture show in Park. Well, that and him watching too much CSI Miami :)
