Coup de Coeur

While the Garment Center is the heart of the fashion industry, it is hardly a shopping mecca.  In fact, from a retail prospective we are pretty much bare bones around here.  When you want to run out at lunch for some quick shopping, 34th street is your best bet.  There are a few exceptions of course like Meridian or Alice + Olivia.  So we were pleased to hear of a new boutique in the neighborhood called, Coup de Coeur.

This quaint, little boutique specializes in fashion forward women’s wear at affordable prices.  Additionally, they offer a full range of unique accessories from jewelry to handbags.  Located on 6th Ave between 38th and 39th we definitely recommend that you pop in and check it out.

Thank God, something new tucked away on a nice cross street! 34th Street is the armpit of the city.

Stacy, for shame! Just kidding, certainly I’m aware poor 34th Street has a bad rap with some. But if you haven’t visited in a while, I have to beg our cause – my co. has done a lot through the years to make the area pretty. Eg: Herald & Greeley Squares and Broadway Boulevard. Also, we’ve had lots of new stores open on 34th between 5th & 6th, and in the future, there’s going to be big changes on 34th btwn 7th & 8th.
Enough of my soapbox, I’m very excited as now I can check out Coup de Coeur on my way from Bryant Park to 34th, thanks for the heads up! And I’ll post a baby update maybe this weekend, 39th. Just let me know when you’ve had it with babies and baby clothes, ok?!
