End to Smokey Treats
By admins | October 22, 2008

Hump Day Rant! What’s up with all the smokers? Every time I step outside there’s more smokers, by the doorways, in entries, on sidewalks, it’s inescapable. The garment center is turning into one big ashtray! I thought Bloomberg got everyone to quit, but lately, and maybe its just me, there’s more smoking going on. Now that the weather is cooling down things are getting worse. Now people are smoking IN the building! I can smell the smoke from fire escapes, stairwells, even bathrooms. Ugh! Over the last 2 years I have freelanced at 3 top urban-wear companies where people literally smoked weed in the office; and not just in their offices, but in the showrooms! Now that may not smell as bad as cigarettes, but it still absorbs into the fabrics and makes for stinky samples. So please stop smoking, I know its easy for me to say as a nonsmoker, but it’s so bad for you. Not only is it fatal to your health, but it really will give you wrinkles. Besides smoking is not trendy, it’s not hot, it’s just so over! Or as Little Stuart from MADtv said; “Mommy says smoking’s for Europeans and White Trash”. So please at least think about quitting and if you want a free quit smoking kit, go can to this website. ***( This post was submitted by a dear reader. Ugh! I’ve been noticing that too. One day, I walk to school and every other person is smoking. Especially trying since we have a bunch of wildfires going on around here, filling the air with even more smoke to aggravate my senses. Smoking is a rude, disgusting habit and shows little consideration for yourself or others.
