End of the World as We Know It

“It’s the end of the world as we know it; it’s the end of the world as we know it.”  REM’s song, was playing in our head when we saw this headline, “Miley Cyrus launching clothing line.”  Hannah Montana giving design direction must be a sign of fashion Armageddon!  Now who would want the Disney starlet to be a fashion icon?  No surprise here, it’s Walmart of course!  What is shocking to us is that Max Azria (BCBG owner) has become a willing participate in this most unholy union.  For Miley selling at Walmart makes some sense, as her teeny-bopper fan base certainly shops there and her music is on sale there.  However, why Max Azria would want to go the Walmart route (really, if it’s just the money why not do a diffusion line for Target) with the train-wreck of fashion that is Miley Cyrus, is just beyond us.  Max’s customer is certainly not a Miley Cyrus fan and the Walmart pairing will hardly help his brand image.  So what do you think?  Can’t hardly wait (eye rolling) for those designed by Miley tees?

When will the celeb fashion lines stop? Most of them don’t even do well, plus we are in a recession, I don’t get why they even keep going this route!

Jillian – So wrong, that its right!
Sofia – And every day there are more, JLo’s line is closing down but Harry Potter’s Emma Watson is “designing” a line!
