Fashion Tragedies

We thought we’d lighten things up a bit today, even though we rarely do photos or street style posts we just had to share these. Every day in the city we see outfits so atrocious, you just have to shake your head and laugh.  Here is a quick shout-out to some of the horrendous outfits found on the streets of NYC this winter.  Do people not look in the mirror before they leave the house?  Shockingly, some of those pictured below actually have stylists and publicists, clearly somebody was trying too hard. We do believe that cutting edge fashion comes from taking risks, but you also need a little good taste, people!

Borzoi + sweater hybrid? And what’s up with purse, just because Marc Jacobs wears a skirt now, does not mean guys should be shopping in the Women’s department!

Oops, I forgot my top. “Look at me, really, LOOK at ME! And did I mention, I just LOVE running with traffic in Manhattan?”

Flashdance meets Beetlejuice.

Grunge returns and really isn’t better the second time around. Seriously, if it is barley flattering on a tall, skinny, model, so why would the rest of us even try?

But however bad NYC fashion can be, New Jersey always takes the cake.

   I kind of dig the second look…she could use a sweater, and maybe the tutu was a bit too much, but the color choices weren’t that terrible.
