I just saw Schmatta, it was a much needed documentary to bring awareness to a dying industry. Nanette Lepore proves you can make money without sending everything offshore. We can’t save the industry without bringing production back to NYC. et’s keep this movement going.

I agree with berry g,

for over a year, closer to a year and a half I have tried contacting STGC to offer any help I can, and have gotten nowhere. Whoever is organizing this is not doing a great job of getting the word out, getting press, drumming up support, or making use of resources offered etc,
and it is a shame.

As a designer with over 20 years in the industry, I was thrilled to see the documentary “Schmatta” and the resultant tie-ins with STGC. Hopefully this industry cause will get the attention it deserves now.

I was there! It was actually a lot more moving than I would’ve thought and there was a ton of people. But why didn’t they advertise it at all? Some signs around sure would’ve helped.
