True Fashion Insiders Welcome!

By admins | March 16, 2008

So after many years in the fashion industry, we’ve realized that there is no real sense of community for those of us who actually drive the market. Sure there are countless websites devoted to whats in, whats out, who’s hot, who’s not. There is no shortage of Vogue spreads showing the latest $10,000 evening gowns. Its not hard to find shops sites to fawn over the lasted hipster boutique featuring $80 dollar reworked vintage concert tees. And of course the glamorous life of the fashion magazine world ala the Devil Wears Prada or The Hills “ugh”. But where is the representation of us, the thousands of people (mostly us ladies) who drive the real business. We who work long hours designing, fitting, selling, and producing the clothes that most people actually wear. Whether our clothes are our found at the hi-end department stores or the mass market chains we are working our skinny little a$$es off. So this blog is for you. If you’ve sold your soul to the garment business and have come to realize that your name will never be on the label, because you don’t have a famous last name, your father isn’t a finance mogul, and your not a reality star, and the fact that you can actually spec, draw, and have a degree in fashion but still your odds of a label of your own seem only a sex tape away than come join in on my blog. Join the forum, post your comments, lets hear your voice!! And if this all seems a little hostile to you or you just aren’t sure what we’re talking about well you’re probably on the wrong site!
