I agree with her stance on women worklife in the fashion industry. Compared to other female-dominated industries like teaching and nursing, the fashion and retail industries, from my experience, undervalue women's specific needs and issues. My insurance in my last two jobs were dreadful, I wasn't covered for a women's specific treatment I know is common. Plus so much of the work in fashion bleeds into late nights, which is also very challenging and gets tiring. Great, great post and interview. Tech design is really a growing field and the pay is improving, finally. She is so on point regarding women in the industry and maternity leave.
