    1. New York Fashion Week Fall 09′ to overlap with London Fashion Week- The CFDA announced that due to a scheduling error the two fashion weeks will overlap for a full day.  Uh-oh, looks like someone is getting fired.
    2. Walmart in trouble for sweatshops yet again- A labor rights group is charging Walmart with operating a sweatshop in Bangladesh.  Workers report being slapped around, physically assaulted, and even an instance of a pregnant women having a miscarriage after being kicked by a supervisor.

    3. Bravo replacing Project Runway - Despite losing Project Runway for next season Bravo will be bringing us two new fashion related reality TV shows.  “The Fashion Show” where real designers compete for the grand prize and “Celebrity Sew-Off” where celebs compete to create the winning line.  We can’t wait to see Paris Hilton hunched over a sewing machine!
    4. Lucky Shops this weekend – It’s like the ultimate sample sale hosted by Lucky Magazine.  70% off designer clothing, music and complementary cocktails.  Don’t miss it at Metropolitan Pavilion Nov 7th and 8th. 
    5. All new MAGIC – MAGIC has overhauled its look in time for its February 09′ mart.  They have created more categories and streamlined their floor to better serve buyers and vendors.  This fresh modern approach is much needed and will hopefully pump some life back into MAGIC.
