Adobe Illustrator, worth the hype?
By admins | April 5, 2008
As many of you fashion designers, tech designers, CAD artists and graphic designers are aware Adobe has come out with yet another version. Since Illustrator seems to be the most common program used in our industry I am curious to get some opinions on the new and improved version. So far in the techie computer world it has received rave reviews but what about your opinion. Personally I am always skeptical when a new version comes out. It seems like once they work out the kinks in the older version they come out with a newer one. Every-time I get use to one its time to buy the newer format. Its beginning to seem like a market ploy for profit. Especially since for most of what I do I could still be using Illustrator 8 and tech-packing in excel. I have been using CS3 for a bit an while I do like it, I’m not really convinced these constant upgrades are needed. However I would like to hear what you have to say, especially you graphic designers and CAD artists. I have a hunch that our graphic designers have felt much improvement beginning with CS onto CS3 while the traditional designers maybe not. So please add a comment… if you were paying would you have upgraded to CS3?
