1)  Like many high-end designers before her, Norma Kamali, has developed a line for the mass market.  Her collection will be available at none other than, Wal-Mart!!!  But don’t worry, no need to trek all the way out to NJ to pick up some cheap swag, her own store on 11 W 56th St has received some samples.

2)  For all of you fashion week junkies take a look at the latest and greatest in Milan fashion week.  http://www.style.com/fashionshows/S2009RTW/MILAN

3)  Singer and style maven, Rihanna, is working on creating her own fashion line.  So keep an eye out, we have a feeling stylecareers.com will soon be looking for a “Sr. Level juniors/womens designer with an urban flare”.

4)  We stumbled across this blog written by a student that was inspired by the “Save the Garment Center” campaign and decided to make a movie featuring a garment center designer.  Check it out: http://nychangingbyathread.wordpress.com/2008/09/19/interview-with-a-milliner/

5)  Borat Busted- Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen crashed a fashion show in Milan this week.  He paraded down the catwalk as his alter ego, Bruno the Austrian Fashionista before he was removed by security!

Too funny about the Rihanna job, you would think with all the “celebrity designers” the neighborhood would be filled with paparazzi.
