A fashion is merely a form of ugliness so unbearable that we are compelled to alter it every six months. --Oscar Wilde

Tragedy In Mumbai

By admins | November 29, 2008

Over a hundred people have lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, this week.  This act of terror is a frightening reminder of the despicable acts some are capable of.  Our hearts go out to all those who have suffered and to the Indian people.

For anyone in the fashion industry please be aware that due to the instability in India, the Annual Luxury Conference to be held there has been postponed.  The conference was to be hosted by International Herald Tribune and the theme for this year was, “Sustainable Luxury.”

For our fellow New Yorkers, a young Brooklyn Rabbi and his wife were among those killed.   The 29 year old Rabbi, Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivkah were in Mumbai at the Chabad Center when it was attacked.  Their 2 year old son, Moshe, was rescued and is now with his grandparents.  Donations can be made in their honor and for their son here.

How refreshing to see such a sensitive article on a fashion website.
